Here's How We Actually Run Things

Here’s the process we follow every day, for every flight. Plain and simple.
Safety Process
How We Make the Call

There’s no magic to it. Just a process we follow every time, for every flight.

01

We Check Everything

Before any flight leaves, our team reviews weather, runway conditions, aircraft status, and crew readiness. Every single time.
02

It's Never One Person's Call

When things are borderline, the decision goes up the chain. Pilots talk to dispatch. Dispatch talks to management. No solo calls on safety.
03

We Track and Learn

Every delay, cancellation, and go-around gets logged and reviewed. Not to blame anyone — to get better at making the right call.

A cancelled flight is frustrating — but it means the system worked. We’d rather have you annoyed at the terminal than in the air when you shouldn’t be. Every time.

Cancellation Process
When We Cancel, Here's Why

Weather Is the Big One

You live here. You know how fast things change. Fog rolls in, crosswinds pick up, visibility drops. When that happens, we wait. If we can't wait it out, we cancel. It's that simple.

Mechanical Issues

If something doesn't check out on the aircraft, we don't fly it. Doesn't matter if it's a small thing. We fix it first. That might mean a delay. Sometimes it means a cancellation. But it always means the next flight goes out right.

Runway Conditions

Some of our strips are gravel. Some are short. When conditions make a landing questionable, we don't attempt it. Our pilots have the final say, and we back them up every time.

What Happens Next

When a flight cancels, we rebook you on the next available. Talk to your station manager — they’ll take care of you. If you’re stuck, we’ll work with you to figure it out. That’s what we’re here for.

The Team That Watches Every Flight

Before any flight leaves, our OCC team reviews everything: weather at both ends, runway conditions, aircraft status, crew duty times, and passenger loads. If something doesn’t line up, the flight doesn’t go.
During flights, we’re monitoring conditions in real-time. If weather changes mid-route, we’re already talking to the pilot about options.
It’s not glamorous work. But it’s the reason you can trust that when we say “go,” we mean it.
Safety Management

Building Our SMS Early

A Safety Management System is a structured way to identify risks, track incidents, and continuously improve safety. It’s becoming an industry standard, and the FAA will require it for all Part 135 operators. We’re getting ahead of that timeline.

Why Start Now?

Because waiting until you have to do something isn’t really our style. Evan, our safety lead, is building this system from scratch — tailored to our routes, our aircraft, and our operating environment. Not a cookie-cutter program from a consultant. Something that actually works for bush flying.

What It Means for You

You probably won’t notice much difference day to day. And that’s the point. The system works in the background — tracking data, flagging trends, making sure we catch small problems before they become big ones.
